Ichikawa Ennosuke celebrates the 30th edition of his summer program at the Kabukiza and the 110th anniversary of his stage name taken for the first time by his great-grandfather Ichikawa Danshirô II in October 1890. The 2 highlights of this July program are the rare revivals of "Kamahige" and "Uwajima Sôdô".

Educational program at the National Theatre called Kabuki Kanshô Kyôshitu ("Kabuki appreciation class"). This is a very interesting formula for the beginners because there is lively presentation of Kabuki (or some aspects of the art like music, stage tricks or fighting scenes) on stage, followed by the "Shigenoi no Kowakare" scene of the play "Koi Nyôbô Somewake Tazuna". in which Nakamura Tokizô plays the role of Shigenoi, and the awesome dance "Ame no Gorô", in which the main role is played by Nakamura Shinjirô.
