Educational program at the National Theater called Kabuki Kanshô Kyôshitu ("Kabuki appreciation class"). This is a very interesting formula for the beginners because there is lively presentation of Kabuki (or some aspects of the art like music, stage tricks or fighting scenes) on stage, followed by Chikamatsu Monzaemon's play "Heike Nyogo-ga-Shima", which stars Nakamura Hashinosuke in the prestigious role of Shunkan. |

27th edition of a yearly educational Kabuki tour in the Kansai provinces. This is a very interesting formula for the beginners because there is lively presentation of Kabuki followed by the "Ninokuchi-Mura" scene of Chikamatsu Monzaemon's play "Ninokuchi-Mura" in which Kataoka Gatô, Kamimura Kichiya and Kataoka Shinnosuke play the roles of Magoemon, the courtesan Umegawa and Kameya Chûbei. |

"Onna Goroshi Abura no Jigoku" is a famous Chikamatsu Monzaemon's play. For this program, the female roles are played by Zenshinza actresses, not by onnagata actors. |
