Dates of birth and death unknown. First-recorded performance in the 1st lunar month of 1709 in Ôsaka, where he performed as a wakaonnagata in the drama "Ama no Iwahashi" which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô II. He went to Edo in winter 1713 and played in the 2nd lunar month at the Moritaza the role of Princess Sakura in the drama "Isshin Oyako Zakura". Then, he performed for several years in inaka shibai. He was back in Ôsaka in Fall 1722, took the name of Ichiyama Hangorô, became tachiyaku and performed in the 11th lunar month of 1722 in the kaomise drama "Tenchi Tennô Sokutai Guruma", which was produced by Arashi Kanshirô I. Was he a disciple of Ichiyama Sukegorô I? No confirmation so far. He went to Kyôto in Fall 1723 and took the name of Tsuruyama Hangorô in 11th lunar month of 1723, performing in Kyôto in Fukuoka Yagoshirô's kaomise drama "Teono Hajime Kogane no Ishizue", which was produced by Segawa Kikunojô I. He took the name of Ichiyama Hankurô in the 11th lunar month of 1724 in Kyôto, performing in the kaomise drama "Ôjigawa Kogane no Mizuguruma". He took back the name of Ichiyama Hangorô in the 1st lunar month of 1726. He became katakiyaku, took the name of Ichiyama Seizô and performed in the 11th lunar month of 1727 in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater in the kaomise drama "Masu Kagami Eitai Gura", which was produced by Ichiyama Sukegorô I. He played in the 11th lunar month of 1732 in Kyôto at Kameya Kumenojô's theater the role of Kuroda Kageyu in the kaomise drama "Hayazaki Kogane no Hanabusa" which was produced by Arashi Koroku I. This was his last-recorded performance. No record afterwards.

Dates of birth and death unknown. He was most likely a disciple of Ichiyama Sukegorô I [1]. His stage name was Ichiyama Shimanosuke and he was recorded for the first time in the 11th lunar month of 1717 in Ôsaka at the Naka no Shibai, when he performed as a wakashugata in the kaomise drama "Inari Yashiki Daikoku Bashira" in which he played the role of Murase Mikinojô. He became wakaonnagata and performed in the 11th lunar month of 1719 at the Naka no Shibai in the kaomise drama "Onna Daimyô Iroha Obi", which was produced by Takeshima Kôzaemon II. He switched back to wakashugata and played in the 11th lunar month of 1729 at the Naka no Shibai the role of the koshô Irie Mondo in the kaomise drama "Daimyô Yakata Manpô no Mikura", which was produced by Anegawa Shinshirô I. He went to Edo in Fall 1732, became wakaonnagata and played at the Nakamuraza the role of Oshima in the kaomise drama "Yamato Kotoba Imagawajô", which also welcomed in Edo the Kamigata actors Anegawa Shinshirô I, Sakakiyama Koshirô I and Arashi Otohachi I [2]. His rank in the 1733 Edo hyôbanki [3], wakaonnagata section, was jô-(shiro)jô (superior - (white) superior) [visual]. No record afterwards.

[1] This is our assumption. These two actors were recorded as performing together. For example in the 11th lunar month of 1717 in Ôsaka at the Naka no Shibai.

[2] Arashi Otohachi I also celebrated his shûmei.

[3] Ichiyama Shimanosuke was recorded in the hyôbanki which was published in the 1st lunar month of 1733 (after the 1732 kaomise drama). He was also recorded in another hyôbanki which was published in the 2nd lunar month of 1733. His rank in the latter hyôbanki was (superior) [visual].
