The new year sogamono drama "Koi Zakura Umewaka Soga" was produced by Morita Kan'ya VI and was staged in the 1st lunar month of 1762 in Edo at the Moritaza with the following casting:

  • "Koi Zakura Umewaka Soga" mixed four sekai: it was a sogamono, an oshichi-kichisamono, a kagekiyomono and a sumidagawamono.
  • The zagashira Ichikawa Danzô III played the role of Kagekiyo disguised as Kudô Saemon Suketsune.
  • Anegawa Daikichi I, Ôtani Hirohachi I, Nakamura Matsue I and Nakamura Denzô I also played the roles of Kisshôin Kichisaburô, Yawata no Saburô, Yaoya Oshichi and Benchô.
  • The opening day was the 15th day of the 1st lunar month of the 12th year of the Hôreki era (1762), which was the 8th of February 1762 in the western calendar.
