August 1866: he is adopted by Onoe Kikujirô II and takes the long-forgotten name of Onoe Taganojô II at the Moritaza, playing in the drama "Kôtei Kidan Rokujû Yoshû". 14 June 1875: his adopted father Onoe Kikujirô II dies. August 1879: Taganojô takes part in the opening ceremony of the Hisamatsuza [info].
