Dates of birth and death unknown. Son of Yamamura Kazaemon, he received the name of Yamamura Ichitarô and he performed as a wakashugata/koyaku in the 11th lunar mont of 1713 in Ôsaka in the kaomise drama "Yoyo Meoto Tsuru no Mago". He became wakaonnagata and played in the 11th lunar month of 1718 at the Ônishi no Shibai the role of Princess Takechiyo [1] in the kaomise drama "Suehiro Chôja Bandaigura", which was produced by Sawamura Chôjûrô I and celebrated the shûmei of Sugiyama Kanzaemon III. He switched back to wakashugata in the 11th lunar month of 1719 and performed in the kaomise drama "Kogane no Hajimari", which was produced by Arashi San'emon III in Ôsaka at the Higashi no Shibai. He went to Edo in Fall 1721. He became wakaonnagata and played in the 11th lunar month of 1721 at the Nakamuraza the role of Oichi in the kaomise drama "Torisaka no Jô Tsuru no Sugomori". He went back to Kyôto in Fall 1723 and played in the 11th lunar month of 1723 the role of the keisei Hanamae in Fukuoka Yagoshirô's kaomise drama "Teono Hajime Kogane no Ishizue", which was produced by Segawa Kikunojô I. He went to Ôsaka in Fall 1727 and played in the 11th lunar month of 1727 at the Ônishi no Shibai the role of Okuma in the kaomise drama "Watamashi Yatsumune Gura", which was produced by Sawamura Otoemon I. His rank in the 1728 Ôsaka hyôbanki (1st lunar month of 1728), wakaonnagata section, was two black strokes above jô-(shiro)jô (superior - (white) superior) [visual]. No record afterwards.

Yamamura Utanosuke

Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Yamamura Kazaemon, he received the name of Yamamura Utanosuke and his first recorded performance was in the 3rd lunar month of 1705 in Kyôto, where he performed as a wakaonnagata in the new year ni-no-kawari drama "Keisei Inaba no Matsu", which was produced by Sakata Hyôshichirô at Hoteiya Umenojô's theater. He performed in Kyôto up to the 11th lunar month of 1729, when he played the role of Kureha in the kaomise drama "Fukuju Yakata Wagô no Futabashira", which was produced at Kameya Kumenojô's theater by Sakakiyama Shirotarô I. His rank in the 1730 Ôsaka hyôbanki (1st lunar month of 1730), wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô-(hanshiro)kichi (superior - superior - (half-white) excellent) [visual]. No record in Kamigata ôshibai afterwards. He most likely performed in tabi shibai or miyaji shibai. He performed in Nagoya at the Seijuin no Shibai in 1734 and 1735. No record afterwards.
