Born the 31st of March 1911. He was the nephew of Seki Sanjûrô V and was later on adopted by his uncle, who gave him the name of Seki Hanasuke III in January 1928. He was a supporting actor in Ichikawa Sadanji II's troupe for a few years and took the name of Seki Sanjûrô VI in June 1941. He founded his own troupe after WW2, the Seki Sanjûrô Gekidan, and spent most of his career travelling all over Japan to perform in minor theaters. He died the 22nd of November 1968.
