The actor Sawamura Otoemon II held this name from the 11th lunar month of 1752 to 1765.

Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Sanogawa Ichimatsu II, his first stage name was Sanogawa Nakagorô. He performed in Edo at the beginning of the 1770s as a katakiyaku actor. He became the disciple of Sawamura Sôjûrô III in Fall 1782 and took the name of Sawamura Nakagorô in the 11th lunar month of 1782 at the Nakamuraza, performing in the kaomise drama "Godai Genji Mitsugi no Furisode". He went to Ôsaka in Fall 1789 and took the name of Sawamura Otoemon III at the Kado no Shibai, performing in the kaomise drama "Kaomise Chigusa Musubi". He also played in the same theater the following month and his name was recorded in the 1790 hyôbanki, in the jitsuaku/katakiyaku section. We don't know what has happened to him afterwards for he disappeared from the records.
