Nagawa Chikuyô I

Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Nagawa Shimesuke I, he received the name of Nagawa Towasuke I and worked in hama shibai. He worked for a while for the actor Onoe Shinshichi II. He took in the 11th lunar month of 1816 the name of Nagawa Shimesuke II in Kyôto at the Kitagawa no Shibai. He took the name of Nagawa Chikuyô I in the same theater in the 8th lunar month of 1818. He was active up to 1825. No record afterwards. He was the master of Nagawa Shimesuke III, Nagawa Chikuyô II, Nagawa Towasuke II, Nagawa Haruzô, Nagawa Tôkichi, Nagawa Yûsuke, Nagawa Shôsuke, Nagawa Ichisuke, Nagawa Ichiosuke, Nagawa Gogosuke, Nagawa Raisaku, Nagawa Senshi, Nagawa Tomisuke and Nagawa Toshisuke.

Dates of birth and death unknown. This minor sakusha was a disciple of Nagawa Chikuyô I and he was active in Ôsaka for a short period of time during the second half of the Bunsei era.
