He started his career in inaka shibai. 1747: he took the name of Ichikawa Kyôzô in Kyôto and performed in koshibai. He was quickly spotted by Nakamura Kiyosaburô I and became his disciple. 11th lunar month of 1747: he took the name of Nakamura Shirogorô III in Kyôto at the Kitagawa no Shibai, where he performed in the kaomise drama "Teikin Ôrai Manzoku Kagami", which was produced by Nakamura Matsubê I and celebrated the shûmei of Sakakiyama Kôshirô II and his son Sakakiyama Shirotarô II. Fall 1764: Shirogorô went back to Kyôto. 11th lunar month of 1764: Shirogorô played in Kyôto at the Kitagawa no Shibai the role of Minamoto no Yoshitsune in Namiki Shôzô I's kaomise drama "Genpei Tsûrikimaru", which celebrated the shûmei of Iwai Hanshirô. 1st lunar month of 1765: Shirogorô's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, tachiyaku section, was jô-jô-kichi (superior - superior - excellent) [visual]. 11th lunar month of 1765: Shirogorô performed at the Minamigawa no Shibai in the kaomise drama "Kachidoki Asahi no Ôgi", which was produced by Ichiyama Sukegorô II and Yamashita Kyônosuke and welcomed in Kyôto the Edo actor Ichikawa Danzô III. 1st lunar month of 1766: Shirogorô appeared on stage for the last time, in Kyôto in the same theater, where he the role of Ishidô Yamashiro-no-Kami in the ni-no-kawari drama "Keisei Shinonome Zakura". 20th of the 9th lunar month of 1766 [1]: Shirogorô died in Kyôto.
