Uemura Kichiya IV was active in Nagoya in 1732 and 1733. He performed there as an onnagata actor and worked as a zamoto. We don't know whether or not he was a disciple of Uemura Kichiya III. |

| Kamimura Kichiya V | |
|
Born in the Prefecture of Ôita the 13th of December 1909. He started his career as a disciple of Nakamura Ganjirô I, who gave him the name of Nakamura Keinosuke. He made his first stage apperance in January 1915 in Hakata, performing as an onnagata actor in the drama "Kagamiyama". He took the name of Ichikawa Ushô II in January 1933. He was finally allowed to take the long disused name of Kamimura Kichiya V in January 1947 at the Ôsaka Kabukiza. He died the 1st of January 1992. He was a Kamigata supporting onnagata actor, who served three generations of masters (Nakamura Ganjirô I, Nakamura Ganjirô II and Nakamura Ganjirô III). His most famous role was Osawa in "Abura no Jigoku". |
