The actor Nakamura Kumetarô I held this name from the beginning of the 1730s to the 7th lunar month of 1777.

The actor Nakamura Kumetarô II held this name from the 11th lunar month of 1784 to the 7th lunar month of 1808.

Dates of birth and death unknown. This actor started his career in Kamigata in miyaji shibai, as a disciple of Matsushima Matsuemon, performing under the name of Matsushima Tsurumatsu. His master and he respectively took the names of Arashi Matsuemon and Arashi Jûjirô when they started to perform in 1805 in Ôsaka in hama shibai. He took the name of Hanagiri Tsuruzô II in 1806. He took the name of Nakamura Kumejirô during the summer of 1809 before finally becoming Nakamura Kumetarô III in the 11th lunar month of 1809 [2] in Kyôto at the Minamigawa no Shibai. This wakaonnagata actor was active in hama shibai or miyaji shibai [3] up to 1820.

[3] He also occasionally performed in ôshibai. For example, he played in the 11th lunar month of 1811 in Kyôto at the Minamigawa no Shibai the roles of Wada no Hyôe's spouse and Hayase in the drama "Ômi Genji Senjin Yakata".
