1649: born in Edo. Third son of Nakamura Kanzaburô I. His first name is Nakamura Chôjûrô.

9th day of the 6th lunar month of 1658: his father Nakamura Kanzaburô I dies.

12th lunar month of 1668: Chôjûrô and his brother Nakamura Kanzaburô II are invited for the first time to perform a sanbasô dance at the mansion of the daimyô Matsudaira Yamato-no-Kami.

8th lunar month of 1673: the Nakamura brothers are invited for the second time to perform at the mansion of the daimyô Matsudaira Yamato-no-Kami; he takes the name of Nakamura Chôzaburô I for this performance.

16th day of the 8th lunar month of 1674: his brother Nakamura Kanzaburô II dies.

9th lunar month of 1674: Nakamura Chôzaburô I takes the name of Nakamura Kanzaburô III.

26th day of the 12th lunar month of 1676: a fire breaks out in the district of Hama-chô, burning down the Nakamuraza.

11th day of the 8th lunar month of 1678: Kanzaburô dies.


Nakamura Kanzaburô III was the third zamoto of the Nakamuraza. He managed his theater for only 4 years. He unfortunately died in his prime.
