    15th edition of Nakamura Kankurô's summer program at the Kabukiza, the famous Hachigatsu Nôryô Kabuki (literally "the August cool-breeze Kabuki"). A very good selection of plays and dances, including the rare dance "Kumo no Hyôshimai" (with Nakamura Fukusuke in the role of the spirit of the spider), the drama "Ranpei Monogurui" (its highlight is one of the most spectacular tachimawari in Kabuki, with Bandô Mitsugorô in the leading role) and Tsuruya Nanboku IV's ghost play "Tôkaidô Yotsuya Kaidan".

    Third edition of an original program called "Heisei Wakashû Kabuki" (the young men's Kabuki of the Heisei imperial era). The program consists of a new version of the famous "Tokaiya" and "Daimotsu no Ura" scenes of the classic "Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura", relating the confrontation between Minamoto no Yoshitsune and Taira no Tomomori.
