March 1988: he graduates from the Actors Training Center of the National Theater (ninth year).

May 1988: he makes his first appearance on stage at the Kabukiza; he plays a supporting role in the classic "Kanadehon Chûshingura".

July 1988: he becomes disciple of the actor Ichikawa Danshirô IV.

October 1988: he takes the name of Ichikawa Danjirô by playing in the classic "Moritsuna Jin'ya", which is performed at the Kabukiza.

July 1994: Danjirô becomes heyago of the star Ichikawa Ennosuke III.

January 2000: Danjirô plays at the Kabukiza the role of Hanzawa Rokurô in the drama "Dan no Ura Kabuto Gunki".

July 2000: Danjirô becomes nadai and plays at the Kabukiza in the dramas "Kamahige" and "Uwajima Sôdô".
