History

The drama "Tenjiku Tokubê Kokyô no Torikaji" was premiered in the 8th lunar month of 1768 in Edo at the Nakamuraza [more details]. The ichibanme (jidaimono) was a tenjiku-tokubemono and the nibanme (sewamono) was a sankatsu-hanshichimono. The program ended with a Tokiwazu-based michiyuki, which was written by the sakusha Dontsû Yosabê I, entitled "Michiyuki Obana-ga-Tsuyu" and staged from the 9th day of the 9th lunar month of 1768.
