Dates of birth and death unknown. He was the elder brother of Tsuzuki Masuz˘ and became his disciple. He took the name of Sanogawa Ichimatsu in the 11th lunar month of 1763 in Ky˘to and he was recorded for the last time in a hy˘banki which was published in Ky˘to in the 3rd lunar month of 1764. No record afterwards.

The actor Band˘ Aiz˘ held the name of Sanogawa Ichimatsu II from the 11th lunar month of 1767 to the 10th lunar month of 1781.
